Pushing through crowds at a craft cocktail bar to get a $14 Negroni can get pretty annoying. The thing is, a lot of people don’t know how to make amazing cocktails at home. (Those people should learn, but we digress.)

That’s where Somabar comes in—the cocktail appliance is basically like a Keurig or Sodastream, but for dranks. The Wi-Fi connected appliance lets you mix cocktails in less than five seconds using your smartphone.

How does it work? You start by downloading the Somabar app to begin the bartending process, fill the Soma pods with desired ingredients (alcohol, juice, syrups), and start experimenting.

PSFK explains,

“If you already know what you want in your drink, the Somabar app will suggest drink combinations using your selected ingredients. If not, the app will recommend different liquors and/or juices to fill your Soma pods with. Users can select different combinations from their smartphone and infuse them with their choice of bitters or other flavoring. More importantly, a finished cocktail is ready to drink within seconds.”

A few cool features:

  • Somabar uses fluid dynamics, kinetic energy, and turbulence to mix your bitters or syrups into the alcohol.
  • Users can share and promote their cocktail recipes to the Somabar community via the app.

The one thing we’re concerned about: You need to have the right glassware and garnishes at home—because that can make all the difference when it comes to a cocktail. Plus, it’s a bit pricey at $699.

Take a look at the infographic and watch the video below to learn more about the appliance. Somabar supporters have pledged over $300,000 versus the original $50,000 goal, so you can get your hands on one of the appliances this summer.
