Pop Chart Lab is celebrating tea, the glorious byproduct of the camellia sinensis plant, with the Taxonomical Tea Box poster. This 18″x 24″ print breaks down the seven varieties of tea: Black, Green, Dark, Oolong, White, Rooibos, and Yellow. One hundred and four varieties of tea are featured in total, allowing each of us to channel our inner tea nerd.
Are you aware of the fact that Japanese green tea comes in nine varieties: Kamairicha, Bancha, Sencha, Gyokuro, Tamaryokucha, Kabusecha, Konacha, Mecha, and Kukicha? And that White Tea varieties have evocative names such as Long Life Eyebrow, White Peony, Silver Needle, and Tribute Eyebrow?
Pop Chart Lab writes, “Using 100 lb. archival stock certified by The Forest Stewardship Council, this poster is pressed on an offset lithographic press with vegetable-based inks in Long Island City.”
The Taxonomical Tea Box will be released for the Holidays and it will be the perfect gift for tea-nerds and design-junkies alike. The poster is currently available for pre-order, and will begin shipping Wednesday, November 19.
