Words you never want to hear: evacuate now.
Stone Brewing Company was forced to evacuate the brewery yesterday because of the encroaching San Diego wildfires. The brewery was posting photos to Facebook, taking time-lapse videos with a GoPro camera (see above), and tweeting about the fire as it got closer.
We are officially evacuating our home base. Thanks to everyone for expressing their care and concern. http://t.co/YDk4kaDirh #craftbeer

As Beerpulse notes, Stone Brewing isn’t the only brewery affected. Offbeat Brewing was also tweeting and posting videos about what was happening.
We are closing a bit early tonight due to apocalyptic Hell-flames over yonder hills. Sorry!

Both breweries have thankfully been safely evacuated. No word on the fate of the beer. We’re just glad everyone’s okay, and hope that they saved all the bottles of Stone Vertical Epic Ale.
THANK YOU to the hard-working heroes keeping us safe during these wildfires and the compassionate people reaching out with care and concern.
