The latest episode of The Perennial Plate (a weekly online documentary series) has been making the rounds on the web this week, and for good reason: It covers the always stunning food culture of Japan.
This three-minute long tour is just the first installment on Japan from the crew. The short film offers highlights from Daniel Klein and Mirra Fine’s two-week trip around the country, complete with sushi close-ups, ramen, and bento boxes alongside stunning landscapes and fun portraits of locals. It sounds too short to be comprehensive, but the video manages to pack a lot in.
Now in its third season, the series will continue its international tour with videos from 12 countries. Seasons One and Two took on Minnesota and the U.S. at large, respectively.
