It’s not every day that your burrito turns into a monster and tries to run away. But that sort of thing is commonplace in the cartoon world of illustrator Marty Cooper, who makes boring scenes come to life by overlaying a doodled-on transparency.

Cooper operates a Tumblr called “Hombre_McSteez: The Doodle Ramblings,” where he photographs his daily adventures. Using only white out and a sharpie, Cooper forces his audience to take life a little less seriously.

The series includes escaping sushi, demon oranges, and a mosquito who just can’t wait for Friday.
