As impossible as it sounds, the Standard Creative Studio will be serving free pies from “every pizzeria in New York City” tonight in Williamsburg.
The pizza party organizers tell Gothamist that they expect they’ll have “1 pie per pizzeria. Final count TBD but we’re looking at 400+” places from Manhattan and Brooklyn. Ok, maybe that’s not every pizzeria, but it’s still pretty damn impressive.
Sponsored by Shock Top Beer and organized by Ronen V and A Razor, A Shiny Knife, the event is apparently happening “in honor of Raffaele Esposito, who is widely considered as having invented pizza 125 years ago.”
The event starts at 7pm at North 13th St and Wythe Avenue (map). It’s first come, first serve—but they don’t expect to run out of pizzas anytime soon.
