Vice Takes Action Bronson to Marea

"This ain't no Red Lobster sh*t!"

Today, Vice debuted the first episode of their new series, in which they follow Action Bronson and members of his posse around as they dine at the “finest dives and dimes of the restaurant scene.”

In episode one, Bronson is joined by his old friend “Big Body Bes” whose occupation and background is questionable. (“Exactly like, what do you do? And I’m like, what don’t I do?”)

The dynamic duo take a short car ride to Marea, where they are greeted outside by chef Michael White himself. As Bronson points out, “that right there tells you he keeps it official.” Bronson continues to praise White, calling him a one-of-a-kind guy, “a real student of hip-hop and an all-around wild dude.”

Bronson and Bes are seated at a private table, and what follows is a gorgeous, mouth watering, six-course meal that will have you licking your screen. Some choice sound bytes:

  • Bronson on the assorted seafood crudo: “This is the most extravagant delicious thing I’ve ever had in my life.”
  • On the scallops and fiddleheads: “The sear on that is unheard of. This shit taste like straight gold. Straight gold bars.”
  • His final thoughts on the meal: “Everything was extravagant and out of control. To pick the best would be unfair to the meal.”
