It’s hard to predict if food trucks will continue to maintain their steady pace of growth, but so far, they are creating more business opportunities than you might think. Taking a closer look at the mobile-eats scene in San Francisco, The Wall Street Journal found a number of peripheral businesses that have cropped up as a result of the estimated 250 food trucks roaming the streets of the Bay Area.

From truck-wrapping services to business consulting outfits, these side hustles have led to quite a few success stories. Custom Vehicle Wrap owner Kwasi Boyd hired five people to help him deal with the all the orders he was receiving. Matt Cohen, who organizes “Off the Grill” food truck gatherings, brought on five full-time employees in 2011, and this year will be doubling his current staff. Meanwhile, Los Angeles transplant El Monte Catering Trucks has found steady business from those want to launch new trucks.
