Good news for everyone out there sitting on a great long-form food journalism idea. Beginning this year, UC Berkeley is offering five $10,000 post-graduate food journalism fellowships for early to mid-career writers to report on ambitious story ideas. The fellowships were established by author Michael Pollan and the school’s Knight Center in Science and Environmental Journalism and are supported by The 11th Hour Project. Act quickly, though: Applications for this year are due April 1.
