TipsForJesus has been spreading the wealth amongst a nation of waitstaff for about four months now, but for Jesus’ birthday TFJ went all out. The anonymous tipping entity spent Christmas making spirits bright with a string of eight exorbitant tips documented on the @tipsforjesus Instagram. TipsForJesus then encouraged others to follow in their generous tipping footsteps by launching #ProjectChristmasEve. The project, launched via TipsForJesus’ Instagram, encouraged anyone dining out during the holidays to make waiters’ shifts worth their while with some super lavish tips.

TipsForJesus dropped $1,500 at a Tuscon restaurant on Christmas eve and $500 on a $30 bill in Pasadena. The anonymous tipper even left a mind-blowing 4000% tip at an IHOP in L.A. on a $2 bill. Average diners joined the giving spree under the Project Christmas Eve hashtag, with a 50% gratuity left in Miami, and 800% in Newhall, California. Looks like TipsForJesus is so generous they’ll even share the credit for their awesome tipping.
