You’ve probably heard of the Quesarito, a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla (a burrito-quesadilla hybrid, if you will), that Taco Bell has been testing at select locations since last year.

Prior to that, a quesarito was an off-menu item you could sometimes convince an employee at Chipotle to make for you.

Now, Taco Bell is officially adding the Quesarito to its menu. On Monday (June 9), a beef Quesarito with rice, chipotle sauce, and reduced-fat sour cream will be available at Taco Bell locations across the country.

According to Chris Brandt, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, the quesarito is the bestselling product in a test market since the Doritos Locos Tacos. In a press release, Brandt said,

“We’re constantly hearing stories about two great things coming together to create something extraordinary and that takes on a life of its own.”

Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that hybrid foods are what the people want.

But maybe Taco Bell should have considered a different name for the product…
