L.A. Weekly reports that “Grape Syzurp with Cannabidnoids” has just hit the L.A. Market, courtesy of San Diego-based company Actabliss.

The original sizzurp recipe—popularized by such celebs as Lil Wayne and Justin Beiber—is a potent mix of promethazine with codeine syrup, Sprite, and Jolly Ranchers, typically served in a Styrofoam cup.

Although the Actabliss’ Syzurp with Cannabidnoids product doesn’t contain codeine or promethazine, it touts itself as a “sizzurp alternative.” It’s even purple and viscous, like the real thing.

Actabliss’ founder, who apparently just wants to be known by the name “Actaboss,” tells L.A. Weekly,

“After Actavis [the maker of the prescription promethazine codeine syrup popular with rappers] said they were pulling their stuff from the market, I came up with the concept of taking their label and using it.

I touted it as a healthy alternative to lean. A lot of people who say they want to stop drinking lean are purchasing it. A whole group of people realize it’s good medicine and it works for them.”

The product was released to the public on 4/20 via free samples, and finally sold to the public about a week after that at GreenWorks in San Diego. Just this week, it was delivered to L.A. for its first medical marijuana retail sales in the city.

The 2-ounce bottle will set you back $45, and can be split into two doses and mixed with soda. Or, you can just pretend it’s a 5-Hour Energy and chug the whole thing.
