In the latest episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Howard Stern joins Jerry Seinfeld in a 1969 Pontiac GTO with a blacked out grill and hideaway headlights. Right off the bat, Stern tells Seinfeld, “Listen, I really don’t want to go to a coffee shop with you.” Despite Stern’s apprehension, they head to Bel Aire diner in Astoria, Queens.
Stern admits, “Therapy helped me appreciate what I have.” He says that his dad told him to “shush” so he could listen to the radio, so Stern decided the best way to get his dad’s attention was to be featured on the radio. That’s some heavy shit. He also tells Seinfeld he won’t pee in front of him.
Seinfeld goes onto explain how “comedy is more personal than food” and convinces diet-conscious Stern to share a brownie with him, which the radio host proceeds to “sniff like a Beaujolais.”
