How Unhealthy Is Your Favorite Trader Joe’s Frozen Meal?

So you won’t have to, Mother Jones‘s Kiera Butler samples some of the mind-boggling varieties of Trader Joe’s frozen entrees to determine which tastes the best—and, because this is the liberal publication, which is most “nutritionally reasonable.” Breaking down each product’s calorie, sodium, fat, and protein counts before moving on to taste, Butler is a big fan of the chicken gyoza, but dismisses the vegetarian pizza as too salty, the pad thai as “just noodles and sauce,” and the beef in a bibimbap bowl as “mushy.” Also delicious, but a little on the fatty side: mac ‘n’ cheese, palak paneer.
