This isn’t the first time René Redzepi (Noma) has graced the cover of Time Magazine. Back in March 2012, the Danish chef superstar was featured on the cover of Time in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the South Pacific. Inside the issue, he was profiled by food writer Lisa Abend.

But now his world-renowned chef buddies Alex Atala (D.O.M.) and David Chang (Momofuku) have joined him on the front of Time International. If this doesn’t scream “food is a part of pop culture,” we’re not sure what does. The three will be the co-curators of next year’s #MAD4 symposium in Copenhaagen. The accompanying article by Howard Chuo-Eoan, titled “The Dudes of Food,” is ”about those who most influence what we eat and how we think about it.” The feature can be read online by subscribers.

“Today’s masters of haute cuisine don’t cater only to the 1%: their impact is felt even by those who would never eat a Michelin-starred meal,” writes Chuo-Eoan.
