New York City-based photographer Beth Galton makes gorgeous conceptual art out of foods cut in half. The Cut Food series includes everyday foods like Neapolitan ice cream, corn dogs, iced coffee, and jelly donuts halved and photographed with amazing clarity. What really gets us excited about Galton’s work (besides the striking color) is the movement she captures in her still-lifes: the mustard and ketchup dripping onto the corn dog, the milk splashing out of a bag of corn flakes, and chocolate syrup slowly covering a tub of ice cream.
