Breaking News: The Hostess Twinkie Will Return to Shelves July 15th

This is "the sweetest comeback in the history of ever."

We all mourned the loss of Twinkies, Ho Hos, and Dingdongs when Hostess went out of business last November due to a fight with its unionized bakers, which caused the company to go bankrupt. Praise Yeezus, because Hostess is back up and running with new owners and without unions, a result of a nationwide outcry over the company’s demise.

USA Today reports that Hostess will have Twinkies, Ho Hos, and other sugary delights back on supermarket and convenience store shelves by July 15th. Although Hostess promises the nostalgic snacks will taste the same as before, Hostess CupCakes will be made with dark cocoa instead of milk chocolate. Also, in an example of the best copywriting of this century, the tagline on the new Hostess boxes will say, “The sweetest comeback in the history of ever.”

The new Hostess business model “has a far less costly operating structure than the predecessor company,” reports USA Today. Rather than delivering directly to stores, Hostess will deliver to warehouses that supply retailers. Additionally, the company has consolidated its production from 11 bakery plants to four. Whatever changes they had to make, we’re fine with. Just give us our Twinkies.

Seemingly the Gastronomic equivalent of the undead – and just about as good for you as the average Zombie (with a similar aftertaste too I shouldn’t wonder)

What a thing to celebrate, as America whines about healthcare & low wages suckers wont think twice about buying the new Twinkies from a company who just screwed all its employees last November. Wake up America!!
