The 10 Best Breakfast for Dinner Recipes

Whether it’s a straight-forward meal of eggs, toast, and bacon, or a decidedly fancier quiche, there’s something for everyone in the BFD roster.

  • Sweet Potato Waffles, Sweet or Savory.  Finally, sweet potatoes are freed from the pumpkin pie spices that they are usually saddled with. The result: a flavorful, versatile waffle that pairs just as well with maple syrup and fruit as with fried egg and avocado.
  • Goat Cheese Grits with Red Eye Gravy, Country Ham, and a Fried Egg.  The creamy, slightly sweet, tangy grits along with salty ham, coffee gravy, and the ever-perfect sunny side up egg result in the quintessential southern breakfast (or dinner).
  • Savory Gruyere-Stuffed French Toast. A savory, oozy, gruyere-y French toast, topped with mushrooms. There's nothing quite like cutting into your French toast and finding a gooey, melty cheese interior.
  • Baked Eggs with Mushrooms and Gruyere. Velvety baked eggs get amped up with a drizzle of cream, hearty sauteed mushrooms, and a generous sprinkle of gruyere.
  • Horseradish Hash Browns. Traditional hash browns get a sharp kick from horseradish, and then are served with a tangy bacon vinaigrette. Top with a fried egg, seared hangar steak, or just devour them by themselves.
  • Huevos Rancheros Topped with Pork and Green Chile. Humble ingredients are transformed into a rich, comforting and deliciously satisfying dish. With a flavorful pork base, smoky chiles, bright cilantro, slightly tangy cheese, and a poached egg, this is hearty enough for dinner any night.
  • Leek, Lemon, and Feta Quiche. We love the delicate flavor of leeks, and crisp, airy puff pastry is a nice change from a more traditional crust; lemon zest and ouzo lend just the right mix of lift and fragrance.   • Brussels Sprout and Chorizo Beer Hash. What’s not to love about a dish that brings together salty, spicy chorizo, caramelized Brussels sprout, potato hash, a refreshing lager, and velvety, runny eggs?
