Legendary New York City rapper N.O.R.E. has already released a slew of classic albums, traveled the world touring, and recently taken over the podcast game with his drunken interview-packed show, Drink Champs. But that doesn't mean that Noreaga has any plans to slow down. On the contrary, the emcee is making the logical move from drinking professionally to eating professionally, with his own upcoming food and travel show.
According to XXL, the program is called On The Run Eatin' and will be a cross between Action Bronson's Fuck, That's Delicious and Anthony Bourdain's now defunct Travel Channel series, No Reservations—a combination that sounds objectively incredible.
While there's been no official confirmation from the network, N.O.R.E. seemed to tease a behind-the-scenes look at the show on Instagram earlier this year, and tagged MTV2 in the post. The rapper also tagged Lionsgate and thanked the companies for "giving the drink champs an opportunity."
But even if the network hasn't chimed in yet, according to Nore, this is his show, and his show only.
“I probably shouldn’t say this, but I’ma say it,” he told XXL. “It’s a edited version of the story. I just filmed my food show. Now on my food show, I’m the executive producer. I book the places that we go, I book what we eat. I’m everything.”
Though On The Run Eatin' hasn’t received an airdate yet, the preview shows Noreaga chopping it up with rappers Plies, Gunplay, and eating at DJ Khaled's Finga Licking Cafe. Whenever the show does debut, however, you can bet we'll be tuning in. Until then, be sure to check out Drink Champs for some great stories from hip-hop's past.
