Over the years, as DJ Khaled has evolved from a fledgling social media phenomenon into a certified Snapchat guru, the We The Best boss has become a little bit like the boy who cried major key alert. Eggs whites are a major key. Turkey bacon is a major key. Hell, even drinking water causes a flurry of sparkling, golden key emojis to float across one's timeline.
And while it's become difficult to believe that every single story about Khaled holds the secret to opening the door to success, rest assured, this is not a drill. This is a MAJOR key alert.
On Sunday night, donning a pair of floral pajamas, Khaled posted a series of photos on set with Snoop Dogg, Robin Thicke (?), and none other than the lifestyle Gawd herself, Martha Stewart.
"Cloth talk wit Martha Stewart," Khaled captioned one of photos, his host rocking a pair of fuzzy brown slippers.
Last month, Stewart and her longtime friend Snoop announced that they were developing a new talk show for VH1, premiering this fall. And while so far the series has been promoted as a celebrity "dinner party" of sorts, if Khaled is indeed one of Stewart and Snoop's first guests, it appears the show it taking on more of a hip-hop slumber party vibe. On Instagram, Khaled wrote that the crew had enjoyed some breakfast together (not to mention some Luc Belaire champagne...), and Snoop could also be seen wearing a kind of velour jumpsuit-PJ hybrid.
Over the weekend, Stewart shared on Twitter that she and Snoop were finally starting to film their series together in Los Angeles, and now it feels like an air date must not be too far in the future. VH1 also unveiled a clip of the duo on set, with Snoop drinking out of a diamond encrusted goblet and the pair surrounded by pizzas. This show is already a lock for an Emmy, right?
UPDATED 9/13: As the days go by, rap royalty continues to turn up on the set of “Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party.” On Monday, VH1 shared a clip of 50 Cent toasting with the duo, and later that night Fat Joe posted photos of himself, Remy Ma, and singer-turned-chef Kelis chilling with the lifestyle goddess. "Toooooo many DIVAS in one place," he wrote. "Looks like we been COOKINNNN." Amen.
