According to the Associated Press, the recall will effect Mars, Milky Way, Snickers, Celebrations, and Mini Mix due to the potential choking hazard the piece of plastic could cause.

The BBC reports that the recall began in Germany, but has now expanded to the UK, France, Belgium, Italy, and Spain.

Mars might take a hit financially for pulling these products off its shelves, but you have to give them credit for looking out for us with this one. In a statement on its German website, the company explains, “With this recall, we would like to prevent consumers who have purchased one of the above-mentioned products from consuming it.” The affected products have best-by dates of June 19, 2016, to January 8, 2017.
