Thanksgiving for many families across America doesn’t look like the latest cover of Bon Appetit with a glossy turkey and everyone presumably being thankful, calm, and placid AF. Thankfully this year, people have taken to Twitter to spit some truth (and many, many jokes) about how their families really get down on turkey day. It all kicked off with the hashtag #ThanksgivingWithBlackFamilies which blessed the world with memes more plentiful than Thanksgiving side dishes.


Soon after, #ThanksgivingWithHispanics kicked off, breaking down what the meal is like with a large hispanic family. There’s memes about tias (that’s “aunts” for all of you who failed 7th grade Spanish class) going Iron Chef on the meal and uncles trying to get everyone drunk.
