In the midst of Steve Rannazzisi’s 9/11 lies, Buffalo Wild Wings has decided to break things off with “The League” star after “reevaluating their relationship.” The buffalo-wing company released the following statement on Thursday:

“Upon careful review, we have decided to discontinue airing our current television commercials feature Steve Rannazzisi. We are currently reevaluating our relationship with Steve pending a review of all the facts.”

Back in 2009, Steve claimed he was “working” at Merrill Lynch in the second tower during the 9/11 attacks. He publicly stated, “I was there and then the first tower got hit and we were like jostled all over the place.”

Turns out, the story was a complete lie. It was just a made-up story for Rannazzisi to explain how he supposedly got into acting. He recently decided to come clean, telling the New York Times“I was not at the Trade Center on that day… I don’t know why I said this. This was inexcusable. I am truly, truly sorry.” Following the statement, The Consumerist reports that Rannazzisi was nowhere near the towers during 9/11, instead, he was a working in Midtown, miles away from the attack.

Unfortunately for Steve, coming clean wasn’t enough. Buffalo Wing Wings decided his actions were inexcusable and will sever all ties.

Looks like honesty is the best policy, Stevie.
