In an attempt to market to Millennials, McDonalds has created emoji message advertisements to display across the UK. The issue with these ads lies in the fact that no one fully understands what each emoji stands for.
The original McDonald’s ad (pictured above) seems to display an angry car repeatedly hitting an innocent man doing some roadwork. After a rough and potentially harmful day at work, the man leaves and goes to McDonalds, where an order of fries completely makes his day (or something).
In an attempt to make sense of the emoji ad, a graffiti artist added in a a puking emoji— indicating that after being hit with a car multiple times, the road worker suffered some more serious injuries and can no longer hold any food down.
