We feel accomplished when we devour a large order of tonkatsu ramen on our 45-minute lunch break. Turns out, that is not an accomplishment at all.

One man in Xi’an province, China set a record when he wolfed down 24 bowls of noodles in two minutes. Watch the competitive noodle-eater slurp his way to victory in the video below.

The surprisingly skinny winner of the Xi’an noodle-eating competition allegedly told reporters after the contest that the portions were a bit too small.

This guy is a beast, and we would like to see him go head-to-head in a ramen-eating competition with Nathan’s Hot Dog Contest champion Matt Stonie and noodle lover Dave Chang.
