Nineteen-year-old Anthony Lemmer lists his occupation on Facebook as “mystical pizza boy.” We can’t disagree with that title (although, it is technically “pizza man,” now), given that Lemmer performed CPR on a customer just a couple days after starting his job as pizza delivery boy at Uncle Pizza in Glenwood, CO. The pizza-delivery hero tells PostIndependent.com,

I called my parents and said this has been the craziest pizza delivery ever. I left a pizza boy and came back a pizza man.

After a hard day’s work delivering pizzas, Lemmer was on his final delivery of the night. When he showed up to the customer’s house on Valley View Road, he spotted a man standing outside the house “turning blue,” according to The Denver Post. “This was my very last order of the night. I expected to just run right out there and back,” Lemmer told PostIndependent.com.

The pizza-delivery hero, who is trained in CPR, continues,

“When I pulled up there, I knew something was wrong, and I had to act. They asked me right away if I knew CPR. I jumped in right away to do those chest compressions… If I stumble across something like that, I’m going to do anything I can to help. They didn’t want the pizza after that, of course.”

Spoken like a true #pizzaboy (excuse us—pizza man), and bonafide pizza professional.

The customer was taken to Valley View Hospital, although there hasn’t been an update on his current condition. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this story of pizza heroism.
