We’re sad to say that #KanyeIceCreamWeek is finally winding down. Our week-long celebration of Kanye West’s birthday with Morgenstern’s formed the perfect union between two of our favorite things: Yeezy and ice cream.
But just because tomorrow’s the last day to snack on a Kim K Thirst Trap sundae, doesn’t mean people’s enthusiasm for the collaboration has waned. Which is why our friends at Complex TV rolled through the Lower East Side ice cream shop yesterday to catch up with owner Nick Morgenstern and mingle with excited ice cream and ‘Ye fans alike.
Watch the whole clip above for highlights on how Kanye’s Beautiful But Darkly Lit Ice Cream Parlor got started, and the moment owner Nick Morgenstern realized the collabo was about to blow up.
#KanyeIceCreamWeek concludes tomorrow. Head to Morgenstern’s at 2 Rivington Street to partake in the fun. The shop is open on Saturdays from 8am-midnight, but won’t start selling the Kanye menu until noon. We’re expecting some of the special items—especially the I Am A God Ice Cream Croissantwich—to sell out quickly, so get there early. Go!
