Last week, the zeppole stands and carnival games invaded the streets of Little Italy once again for the 88th Annual Feast of San Gennaro—a 10-day festival that celebrates Italian-American culture in NYC.

One of our favorite kick-off events is the cannoli eating contest—now in its 13th year and officially sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive Eaters—so we grabbed our cameraman and cruised down to Mott Street to capture the madness.

Watch the slow-motion, ricotta-cream fireworks above, then get ready for the Annual Pizza Eating Competition on Wednesday (3–5pm).
