Beginning July 17, Taco Bell customers will have the newfound luxury of ordering from a high-protein, low-calorie menu. The new “Cantina Power Menu” will offer burritos and bowls with white-meat chicken and grilled steak, pico de gallo, lettuce, and guac. How very Chipotle. Health-conscious consumers (who still like eating at fast-food chains) rejoice: each burrito/bowl contains more than 20 grams of protein, and has less than 500 calories.
More importantly, starting August 4 in Omaha, Neb., the chain will be testing out a new Power Breakfast, which will include a vanilla-flavored Greek yogurt with granola, as well as steak-and-egg burritos and bowls. We applaud Taco Bell for gifting us with incredibly unhealthy-looking, possibly healthy foods.
