Lucky for us, NYC has seen a smoked-meat explosion as of late, with barbecue spots opening everywhere from Red Hook to Astoria. Take Daniel Delaney, who’s turning out impeccable Texas-style brisket in Williamsburg, or the good folks at Mighty Quinn’s, who are serving Flinstonian beef ribs in the East Village. The barbecue spots we’ve featured here cook high-quality meats low and slow over hardwood only (no gas), because why would you eat barbecue prepared any other way?
