Yeah, Thanksgiving is great, but Hanukkah is a holiday entirely devoted to eating foods fried to a tempting golden brown in hot oil. Okay, maybe not entirely, but foods like latkes (potato pancakes) and soufganiyot (jelly donuts) are traditionally served on Hanukkah because they remind us of the miracle of the holiday.
