Last June, Colonel Sanders’ famous white suit sold for $21,510 at an auction. Now, KFC is auctioning historical artifacts once owned by Colonel Sanders to raise money for hunger relief. The 17 pieces include a Colonel Sanders weathervane from the 1960s (starting bid: $500), a key to the city of St. Louis presented to Colonel Sanders (opening bid: $75), and a White House Invitation from President Jimmy Carter to the colonel (opening bid: $100). Until recently, these pieces of KFC memorabilia were locked away in a secure underground cavern in Louisville, Kentucky.
