The Best Beer Labels of the Week: July 13, 2013

Ogle, open, drink. Repeat.

  • Strut your stuff, Old Fecker.
  • Three Floyds is back at it with the medieval-looking War Mullet.
  • Very unique—you could imagine this being on a bottle of wine as much as a beer.
  • Great pun, great art.
  • Mix and match beards!
  • This is a tempting scene as the mid-July heat kicks in.
  • Half Acre and New Belgium imagine comic-book alien warfare.
  • The "So Bad, It's Good" award goes to this (intentionally) bizarre ode to blueberries and Justin Bieber from Evil Twin, Westbrook Brewing Co., and the Charleston Beer Exchange.
  • This is a collabo from Against the Grain and Amager, and apparently the name refers to a hot dog eating contest that went down on brew day.
  • We'll forgive the seasonal creep of this label release because it's so inviting.

This week, we had some of our long-held perceptions about beer changed as Greg Engert schooled us to the most misleading myths in the brew business. Now, it’s time to recalibrate your conception of what a beer label can be by checking out these next-level designs from Three Floyds, New Belgium, and Evil Twin.
