What does it take to get your name on a Starbucks tea blend? Billions in your pocket, a TV show, your own magazine, and a few movies under your belt. Basically, you have to be Oprah Winfrey.
According to Grub Street, the media mogul has teamed up with Starbucks and Teavana to release Teavana Oprah Chai Tea, a personally curated custom-blend of black and Roobois teas with an infusion of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and clove. Oprah explains the choice of tea flavor in a simple statement:
“I like things spicy. I like things chai’d up.”
The tea will hit Starbucks and Teavana stores across the U.S. and Canada on April 29, and all proceeds will go towards youth education charities.
This collaboration got us thinking…
