The geniuses over at The Huffington Post have created an infographic depicting where it’s legal, sort of legal, and completely illegal to booze in public. The purple stars indicate the 20 cities across the United States where boozing in public is legal in “special entertainment districts,” and the yellow stars indicate towns where public drinking is straight-up accepted by the authorities.

If you, like us, are stuck in the starless alcohol void, there are still plenty of options to get your booze on outdoors. The Huffington Post recommends a sidewalk cafe or patio. Or just stick it in a paper bag.

Happy holidays, and party on.
