New York Is Finally Getting a Cat Cafe

And more awesome stuff other people did on the Internet today.

The moment you’ve all been waiting for: Gothamist reports that Purina One will open a pop up cat cafe in downtown Manhattan this Thursday, April 24th through Sunday, April 27th.

Purina plans to fill the cafe with furry, adorable kitties from Long Island-based rescue organization North Shore Animal League. All the cats will be available for adoption, and a yet-to-be-revealed “Brooklyn-based artisan coffee roaster” (we’re guessing Cafe Grumpy) will be providing the caffeinated goods.

Sure, we’re excited about the pop up, but someone needs to take matters into their own paws and open a permanent kitty cafe in NYC. London got its first cat cafe late last year, and cat cafes are huge in Japan.
