If you’re shopping for a boozehound this holiday season, don’t settle for a dull bottle of wine or pricey Scotch—instead; stock their bar with everything they need to make a proper cocktail.
Merchant of Beverage has tapped some A-list bartenders and drinks writers from around the country to curate “cocktail kits,” which include all the liquor, bitters, and other liqueurs you need to make certain drinks, from an Old-Fashioned to a Martinez. The coolest ones are original cocktails associated with specific bars: Recreate Joaquín Simó’s Midnight Marauders, a tequila-based Negroni riff inspired by a Tribe called quest album.
