Quartz has released an infographic of 53 countries’ drinking habits, showing which spirit people drink the most of: whiskey, vodka, tequila, rum, gin, or brandy.
According to the data from Euromonitor International, of the countries surveyed, nearly 50% order whiskey more than anything else, and nearly 40% choose vodka. Surprisingly, the U.S. falls into the second category.
Euromonitor also found in a separate study that South Korea consumes the most liquor per capita, with the average person throwing back 11.2 shots per week. That’s more than double the intake of the next biggest consumer, Russia, where drinkers slam five shots per week on average.
By contrast, Americans consume 2.5 shots per week—of vodka, apparently.
