By way of Beer Street Journal, here’s a brief trailer for CRAFT: The Movie, a film about craft brewing set to drop next year.
There’s not much info about the film just yet, but clearly it’s a documentary, and by the looks of the subjects involved, it’ll be a must-see for brew nerds. In this 30-second clip alone, we spot Lagunitas (Petaluma, CA); The Commons (Portland, OR); Hops and Grain Brewery (Austin, TX); Dieu du Ciel (Montreal, Canada); Captain Lawrence (Elmsford, NY); Enlightenment Ales (Lowell, MA); and a handful of other breweries spanning the coasts.
Whatever shape the film ends up taking, it’ll be another example of a growing trend of beer-based movies hitting screens, from the Kickstarter-funded Beer Hunter about legendary beer writer Michael Jackson, to the well-reviewed indie release Drinking Buddies.
Cheers to that.
