Oregon-based brewery Rogue Ales prepares for their October special, Rogue Farms Pumpkin Patch Ale, with a trip to the pumpkin patch. They recently released this promo video in anticipation of the fall ale. The craft brewery offered a little background on the forthcoming special:
When pumpkins are picked in September, they are loaded onto trucks and driven to the Rogue Brewery in Newport, OR, just 77 miles away. The pumpkins are hand-chopped and seeded, roasted in a pizza oven, and pitched fresh into the brew kettle to create Pumpkin Patch Ale. It’s the revolutionary way to brew!
How can you not appreciate the passion and precision that goes into Rogue’s beers?
Let’s not forget that these guys are some of the most innovative brewers around, offering an exclusive Rogue Beard Beer, a Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale, as well as Voodoo Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Banana Ale. The Oregonian beermen are veterans of the game, and it’s nice to get a behind the scenes look at what goes into preparing their fall special.
