In a stroke of what can only be boardroom meets bar room genius, fifteen Chipotle locations in Chi-Town are about to amp their menu with local craft beer selections. And not just any local craft beer—the suds will come from 5 Rabbit Brewery, which is reportedly “the nation’s first Latin-themed craft brewery.”

Along with the usual offerings of Pacifico, Dos XX, Corono, and Miller Lite, Chicagoans can expect two kinds 5 Rabbit brews—the eponymous golden ale and 5 Vulture, a dark ale brewed with chiles and spices. Should the sales be promising, not only will 5 Rabbit add more variety, but more Chipotle locations in Chicago will join in carrying the label.

Apparently, the designated Chipotle locations in Chicago are not the first in the country to pair local craft beer with their burritos. One can only hope continues to be implemented nationwide. Just imagine: Eagle Rock Brewery in L.A., Stone Brewery in San Diego, Oskar Blues in Denver, Sixpoint in NYC, Rogue in Portland, or Surly in Minneapolis.
